Welcome to the website of children’s writer Irulan Horner.

Irulan was named after a princess and raised in a Mediterranean country surrounded by wild flowers, olive trees and cats. Aged twelve she believed faeries were real, one day she’d be a writer and cats are the most loyal friends. The cats bit has turned out to be true.

Rubia, a nine-inch feisty faerie, persistently pestered Irulan to tell her story, so Irulan finally took fingers to keyboard and translated the faerie’s impatient babble into a magical adventure tale. The Masters in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University helped Irulan to flourish as a writer and put into motion her dream of sharing her stories with the world.
